Wonderful "Sisters"

My first Bible study was in 1993. A dear friend had been asking me to join her for a long time and I finally agreed to do it. She picked me up and I actually cried most of the way to the home of the host. Upon arrival, I announced to her that "I just couldn't go inside...I was too upset." She convinced me to go in saying that she would leave the car unlocked if I needed to leave.

Well that was twenty-seven year ago. I am now 70 years old and have continued to do studies since my first one. There were many times that I didn't feel like going, but I forced myself to go; and every time I went, I always felt better when I left.

I was raised in a good family, but we never read the Bible. So, by doing the studies I read for the first time God's words. There were times that I didn't understand exactly what was written but I stuck with it and just asked God to help me get whatever it was that He intended me to hear. If I had not gotten into Bible studies, I would never have known his messages.

Over the years, I have been blessed time and time again with knowledge, words of hope, encouragement and the support of amazing women who have become my "wonderful sisters." I have had a very healthy dose of life's hard times and I know, without a doubt, that I never would have survived as well as I have if I had done it all on my own. NEWBS has been a true life saver for me. I would encourage any woman, any age, any religious background to join and experience the sweet blessings that I know God has in store for all His children.
